Scuba Diving & Snorkeling
Even without the benefit of Email, marine-life discovered this safe haven long, long ago. Banderas bay is home to turtles, schooling jacks, yellow tails and an amazing variety and abundance of tropical fish. Los Arcos, Majahuita-Quimixto and the Marietas Islands are especially rich in marine-life and they have been designated as protected, underwater national parks.

Additionally, the marine-life is very similar to that found in the Sea the Cortez. From December to April, Banderas bay is host to humpbacked whales. Whale sharks and wahoo are regular visitors; schools of dolphins seem to regard these waters as their own personal playground; and, a mature manta population patrol the bay almost year-round.

There are scores of secluded beaches and hidden coves on the rim of Banderas bay,with numerous, safe sites for snorkeling and first time diving. After almost 30 years of operation here, Chico’s knows them all and we take you to the best. We also know the bay’s hidden and unique underwater architecture of pinnacles and caves; its undersea mountains, that breach the surface to form small islands,and provide the challenge and adventure sought by experienced divers.

RESERVATIONS
Bass Adventures will hold your reservation on a tentative basis for five working days after the receipt of the reservation. Your deposit of 50% of the package cost must arrive at our office on or before the fifth day or the reservation will be canceled, no exceptions. The balance of your bill must be paid to the Bass Adventures office 30 days prior to your arrival. All deposits are non-refundable. All moneys paid are forfeited if cancellation occurs within 30 days of your arrival.

TIPPING
There is absolutely no tipping policy, but tips of $8 to $10 per day per person to the guide for a trip are average. Tips for lodge personnel usually are given to lodge managers to distribute to cooks, maids, waiters, drivers, etc., and usually are $8 to $10 per day per client, but this is of course left up to each client.
